My first ever Dreamwidth post

lenticularstudyWell, I somehow managed to get an invite code (from a kind soul over at dw_code_sharing) and here I am. Now to start transferring things from my old journal...
Some observations:
•I like the fact that the rich text editor here actually seems to work with my computer - before, I had to use the HTML editor - a true pain.
•DW is much faster than LiveJournal - incredibly so. When you've got hardware that isn't absolutely up-to-date, something like that can make the difference between enjoying your time there, browsing, etc. and giving up on blogging completely.
•I have a few years of experience with web design and CSS, but I'm still trying to get my head round the system. Therefore, no real custom site design yet.
•You don't seem to have to pay to use CSS here, which is a nice change from LJ.
